The rooms back in the meeting inventory
The Huntington Hotel reopened at 1075 California Street on 1 March 2026. The Big Four restaurant reopened on 17 March 2026. Both return event space to Nob Hill that left the market when the hotel closed in 2020.
The operator counts seven unique venues and 7,500 square feet of total event space, with a total capacity of 100. Five of the seven carry a published capacity sheet.
The venue schedule, as published
The Private Dining Salon at The Big Four holds 432 square feet under a nine-foot ceiling. Banquet rounds take 24, cocktail rounds 36, theatre seating 36 and a boardroom layout 26. The room carries deep crimson walls dressed in railroad artifacts.
The Taylor Meeting Room holds 390 square feet under an 8.5-foot ceiling on the second floor. A U-shape takes 24, a hollow square 30, cocktail rounds 30, theatre 30, classroom 24, boardroom 20 and banquet rounds 16.
The California Boardroom holds 252 square feet on the second floor and takes a maximum of 12.
The Penthouse holds 1,306 square feet under a ten-foot ceiling on the twelfth floor and takes a maximum of 25, with views across the bay from Alcatraz to Tiburon.
Nob Hill Spa holds 1,840 square feet under a 15-foot ceiling and takes a maximum of 100, around an edgeless soaking pool that can be capped with a transparent topper.
The gap in the venue count
Two venues carry no published capacity. The five that do sum to 4,220 square feet, computed from the listed areas, against the 7,500 square feet the operator publishes as the total event space.
The event request form offers five venue options: Nob Hill Spa, the Big Four restaurant, the Taylor Meeting Room, The Penthouse and the California Board Room. The form takes an event date and time, an event type of wedding, corporate or social, and a guest count.
The dining rooms a group can book
The Big Four serves breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., weekend brunch from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner from 5 p.m. daily, to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. SFist names David Intonato as executive chef and Matthew de Quillien as general manager.
Arabella's, the cocktail salon a few steps above the lobby, opened in April 2026 with 25 seats. It serves Tuesday to Saturday from 6 p.m. with small plates and heavy hors d'oeuvres. The salon does not appear among the venues on the event request form.
Access for a program moving through the city

Powell Street station is 0.53 miles from the door, Moscone West 0.72, Moscone Center 0.79 and the Ferry Building 1.06.
Valet parking runs $100 a night for hotel guests and $40 for up to four hours for diners at The Big Four. The hotel offers complimentary town car drop-off within a two-mile radius, subject to availability. Check-in begins at 4 p.m. and check-out is at noon.
The lead times a 2027 cycle needs
Group and event inquiries and dining inquiries run through separate addresses. A private dining request form sits alongside the event form.
Three published lead times govern the dining rooms. Reservations for The Big Four main dining room are released 14 days out on a rolling daily basis and cover parties of six or fewer. Parties of seven or more go by email. The hotel prioritises guest dining reservations made at least 30 days ahead of a stay. Dinner reservations require a credit card, and a cancellation or no-show within 24 hours can carry a fee of up to $50 a person.
What the venue file leaves open
No published document sets a group room rate, a room-block policy, a minimum food and beverage spend, an exclusivity or buyout price, an audio-visual specification for the meeting rooms, or a site-visit protocol. The capacity sheet carries total area and ceiling height and no floor plan. The request form states no response time.
