Nine days of published programming
San Francisco Fleet Week publishes a 4 to 12 October 2026 window. The association's dated calendar runs Tuesday 6 October through Monday 12 October, nine days of waterfront programming.
The host publishes no room block. Its where-to-stay page names two properties. Axiom Hotel sits in Union Square within steps of the SoMa district and offers Fleet Week attendees a special discount, and its booking link carries the promotional code GOV with hotel ID 66053. Hotel Caza sits among Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach and the Embarcadero and links its own site. Neither route carries a group code, a nightly rate, a room count or a reservation cut-off.
The one large-group transport route the host names
The association's transportation page asks visitors to consider public transport and states that parking and traffic can be congested during the week. For a large party it names one route: a San Francisco charter bus with CharterUP, which offers services in the Bay Area from nearby cities such as San Jose or Santa Rosa, and nationwide. The page links CharterUP pages for San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Rosa.
The host publishes no Fleet Week shuttle, no stop list and no departure window. Its parking page routes drivers to SpotHero for advance reservation and names no lot, no street and no event rate.
What fills the calendar
The Parade of Ships opens the waterfront on Friday 9 October from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. It runs from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge with the reviewing stand at Marina Green, and the San Francisco Fire Department fire boat leads it. The host calls it the largest Parade of Ships on the West Coast.
The air show runs 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October at Marina Green, staged between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz and headlined by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. General admission is free. The Air Show Network sells a VIP Experience, and corporate chalet and sponsorship enquiries go to info@airshownetwork.com.
Ship tours are free. The published schedule gives Wednesday 7 October 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pier 27; Thursday 8, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Piers 27 and 35; and Monday 12 October 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Pier 35. Every line runs first come, first served. Five hulls are named: USS Ashland (LSD 48), USS Cape St. George (CG 71), USCGC Munro (WMSL 755), USCGC Benjamin Bottoms (WPC-1132) and USCGC George Cobb (WLM 564).
Fleet Fest at Fisherman's Wharf runs Saturday 10 October 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 11 October 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. K9 Heroes runs Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Duboce Park. Military bands play in neighbourhood venues across the week. Friday alone lists sets at Union Square, Glen Park Library, Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square and the Powell Street cable car turnaround, then the Chinatown Night Market from 6:00 p.m.
Sunday 11 October lists two bands at the Italian Heritage Parade at 12:30 p.m., a concert at the San Francisco Zoo, and a band at Pier 39 at 5:00 p.m. The week ends Monday 12 October with the first High School Band Challenge, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Golden Gate Park Bandshell.
What a group carries to the piers
The host publishes the shipboard conduct terms in full. Bags must be no larger than 12 x 6 x 12, and clutches or small purses no larger than 5 x 7. There is no holding area for personal items. Backpacks, strollers, bicycles, scooters and pets stay off the pier. Food, drinks, ice chests, coolers and liquids are prohibited, along with glass containers, weapons and defensive sprays. Everyone over 18 needs a valid government-issued ID, and everyone 17 and under needs an adult. Open-toe shoes and high heels are not permitted on board. All personnel are screened and all bags are searched before the pier.
The group-spend frame
The association reports more than $10 million in annual tax revenue and over $200 million in overall economic benefit. Engine puts the citywide average rate at $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. October averages $176, September $192, and December is the cheapest month at $129. Engine ranks San Francisco 18th of 50 major markets.
The American Hotel and Lodging Association and the California Hotel and Lodging Association released an Oxford Economics study on 25 June 2026. That study puts hotel-generated impact in San Francisco above $12 billion for 2025, about $900 in citywide spending behind each room night, nearly 50,000 jobs and $2 billion in taxes, with average daily rate at 92 percent of pre-pandemic levels and forecast at 98 percent for 2026.
A group arriving for the week pays nothing at the gate and nothing at the piers. The cost sits in transport and in the evening, and the host publishes no block to anchor a rate. Any rate, minimum stay and cancellation term for a stay over 9, 10 or 11 October comes from the property.
