The island a group can programme today
Treasure Island carries a full day of programme elements and no hotel. Eight parks are open, a Saturday waterfront market runs on Cityside Park through 17 October, and the ferry crosses to the San Francisco Ferry Building in eight minutes on average.
The first completed phase of the master plan opened on 17 July 2026 as 490 Avenue of the Palms, a six-storey building of 148 homes along Cityside Park.
Eight parks and a Saturday market
The operator's venue page lists Cityside Park as a six-acre waterfront park on the western shoreline. The park carries open lawns, promenades and seating, with views from the Bay Bridge to the Golden Gate. Panorama Park sits on Yerba Buena Island and holds Hiroshi Sugimoto's Point of Infinity. Signal Point Park, beside Panorama Park, suits small gatherings and hosted walks.
Off the Grid returns to Cityside Park on Saturdays from 12 September through 17 October 2026, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Food trucks serve Asian, Latin, European and classic American menus, and live music runs through the afternoon. On those Saturdays the ferry adds crossings to and from the island between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The operator's calendar carries events at Cityside Park year-round. Mersea Restaurant & Bar runs live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Gold Bar Whiskey Distillery & Tasting Room occupies a restored 1930s Art Deco building and runs Friday jazz and Sunday sunset DJ sets.
The venues that take a group
The operator publishes its event venues and the setting each carries. Aracely Cafe offers a landscaped patio, outdoor dining and an indoor cafe, with catering for brunch, private dinners and small celebrations. Bay Padel builds events around multiple padel and pickleball courts indoors, with adjacent gathering areas for groups and spectators.
Gold Bar Whiskey Distillery & Tasting Room takes receptions, corporate gatherings and full-venue buyouts. Mersea Restaurant & Bar offers indoor and outdoor space, a lawn and outdoor games, with a kitchen, a bar and catering.
Cityside Park takes festivals, food markets, brand activations and large gatherings. San Francisco Glens Stadium carries a FIFA-certified pitch, a pitchside pub area, 5x5 soccer fields and fan stands. Treasure Island Wines runs guided tastings from an urban winery with indoor space and outdoor room. Panorama Park holds intimate events and scenic receptions. Signal Point Park suits small gatherings and hosted walks.
The operator publishes park acreage and no seated capacity by venue. It publishes no group rate card. The events team works with planners on events from intimate receptions to multi-day public festivals. Ask for the capacity sheet and the rate card, and put both in the file.
Ferry, Muni and the evening limit
The ferry connects the Ferry Building at Gate B with the Treasure Island landing seven days a week. The operator's ferry page puts the average crossing at eight minutes. The operator's access page puts the trip at about 10 minutes. Tickets cost $5 each way and $10 round-trip. Children under five ride free. Tickets come from the app, online, or by card or cash at boarding, and the service does not accept Clipper.
Weekday departures from Treasure Island run from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The last weekday sailing from Gate B leaves at 8:20 p.m. and lands on the island at 8:28 p.m. A group that programmes past that hour moves by road. Muni route 25 runs from the island to the Salesforce Transit Center and along the Embarcadero every 20 minutes, every day. The Bay Bridge Trail brings cyclists in from the East Bay through protected lanes, and each ferry carries up to six bicycles on a first-come basis.
The operator's access page lists the ferry, Muni, bicycle, car and rideshare. It publishes no island shuttle and no per-trip passenger capacity. The ferry sets the number of people who arrive together. Ask the events team for venue capacity and the operator for a coach plan.
Where the room block goes
The project's own record lists hotel rooms among the build-out components and publishes no room count. The Treasure Island Development Authority states the islands are growing into a community of up to 8,000 homes, with approximately 27% affordable housing in total. The operator's directory of venues and services lists no hotel, and no delivery date for one appears in the project's published documents.
Book the group into the downtown inventory. Nearly a thousand residents have moved in across the two islands, Hawkins is fully leased and Isle House was 95 percent leased at the operator's July 2026 count. Bay FC broke ground on its training facility in 2025. The site covers approximately 8.5 acres with three training fields and becomes operational in time for the 2027 season.
What to write into the ops plan
Treat the island as an off-site element inside a downtown stay. Run the island day against the ferry timetable and set the closing time against the 8:20 p.m. Gate B sailing on weekdays.
Two constraints govern group size. The ferry sets the number of people who arrive together. The road sets the number who leave after the final sailing.
Build the day around the published calendar. The market runs to 4 p.m. through 17 October. The parks, the distillery, the winery and the stadium stay open off-market.
