ATIA's sold-out NTIA Gala brings 1,300 to the Palladium
The Australian Travel Industry Association has published the entertainment programme for the 2026 National Travel Industry Awards Gala Dinner. ATIA dated the announcement 1 October. The Gala runs on Saturday 10 October at the Palladium at Crown Melbourne, 8 Whiteman Street in Southbank. Helloworld Travel sponsors the evening's entertainment again this year.
The Gala is sold out. ATIA reported the sell-out on 23 September. Travel Daily carried the same line on 2 October.
ATIA schedules the Gala Dinner for a 5.30 p.m. kick-off.
A theatrical opening and an intermission set
The programme opens with a theatrical reimagining of the music of Kylie Minogue, Tina Arena, Vanessa Amorosi and Olivia Newton-John. ATIA describes the four as among Melbourne's most celebrated artists.
The intermission act takes guests through the work of Hans Zimmer, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Delerium. ATIA says the intermission captures the creative flair that has made Melbourne Australia's cultural and creative capital.
What Helloworld says
Cinzia Burnes is chief operating officer and executive director of Helloworld Travel Limited. "Helloworld Travel is delighted to again be supporting the NTIA Gala as sponsor of the evening's entertainment," Burnes said. "As a Melbourne-headquartered business, we are particularly pleased to see the travel industry come together in our home city for what promises to be an outstanding celebration."
"A sold-out Palladium and a uniquely Melbourne-inspired program will provide the perfect backdrop for recognising the achievements of our industry," she said.
Burnes also named the finalists drawn from Helloworld Travel's networks, brands and businesses. "We look forward to applauding their accomplishments, celebrating with our industry colleagues, and recognising the remarkable talent that continues to drive our industry forward."
What ATIA says
Dean Long is chief executive officer of ATIA. "Melbourne is a city that knows how to put on a show, and Helloworld have helped us create a night that lives up to the city's reputation," Long said. "Opening with the songs of Kylie, Tina, Vanessa and Olivia is about as Melbourne as it gets."
"The travel industry knows how to celebrate, and Helloworld have really got behind this event. We can't thank them enough, and I can't wait to see the room when the curtain goes up."
The award year behind the Gala
ATIA calls 2026 its most competitive NTIA to date. The association reported a record number of nominations. ATIA's October release states that winners take the stage across 39 categories on the night. Its event page states 36.
ATIA expects 1,300 travel industry professionals in the room. "Selling out tells you exactly where the industry is at: people want to be in the room to back their colleagues and celebrate a year of hard work," Long said.

The Gala closes a weekend that opens on Friday 9 October. The Beyond Borders Travel Summit runs at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 9 October. ATIA reported Beyond Borders tickets still on sale at its eventsair registration site on 23 September.
