FEHGRA meets provinces and chambers at FIT 2026

FEHGRA reports meetings with La Rioja, Corrientes and Santa Fe officials at its stand, its training agenda, and the fair's closing figures.

The Federacion Empresaria Hotelera Gastronomica de la Republica Argentina (FEHGRA) reports a prominent participation in the 30th edition of the Feria Internacional de Turismo de America Latina (FIT), under its president, Daniel Prieto. The federation stamped the release 30 September 2026. FIT 2026 ran 26 to 29 September at La Rural in the Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires.

FEHGRA made its stand the centre of meetings and the signing of strategic agreements with provinces and chambers. The federation sets out the purpose in its own terms: to strengthen training and connectivity, to give visibility to its branches, and to consolidate public-private coordination that supports hotel and gastronomy activity across the country's regions.

The counterparts the federation names

The release names three of the authorities its referents met. Gustavo Luna, minister of Tourism and Cultures of La Rioja. Juan Enrique Braillard Poccard, minister of Tourism of Corrientes. Juan Pablo Poletti, mayor of Santa Fe. FEHGRA states that other provincial and local authorities took part and leaves them unnamed.

Prieto on the sector's reach

Prieto spoke from the federation's stand after touring the La Rural grounds with Karina Milei, secretary general of the Presidency. "Tourism today is a sector that keeps widening," he said. He named remote work as a route to strengthen the activity across Argentina, and he placed the fair inside that work: "That is what is happening here, at FIT."

The officers at the stand

Alejandro Papasidero, first vice president of the federation, said FEHGRA was proud to take part in a new edition of FIT and pointed to the camaraderie the fair generates. "FEHGRA is always present alongside the sector," he said. The release places the vice presidents Ignacio Bordon, Carlos Mellano and Raul Kotler at the stand among other authorities, and it reports a meeting of the federation's Consejo Directivo, its board, held there.

The closing figures the federation reports

FEHGRA reports the figures that the FIT authorities gave at the closing press conference. The fair drew 64 foreign representations. Visitors reached 143,683 in total, of which 94,602 were the general public and 49,081 were professional visitors. Across 1,697 exhibitors, 1,075 were Argentine and 622 were foreign.

The fair around the stand

The fair's own site gives the edition four days and dates it 26 to 29 September at La Rural. It puts Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September on general-public doors from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., and reserves Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 September for professional visitors from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The federation's training work

FEHGRA organises its work under departments that include training and professional development, tax policy, labour and social policy, legal affairs and tourism, alongside the FEHGRA EDUCA programme.

The federation's base

FEHGRA states that its member entities across the country group more than 84,000 hotel and gastronomy establishments. Its own site groups those entities under seven regional headings: Provincia de Buenos Aires, Patagonia, NOA, NEA Litoral, CUYO, CABA and CENTRO. The federation's head office sits at Larrea 1250 in the Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires.
