One counter for every group bed
The American Society of Clinical Oncology publishes the term in one sentence. Every group hotel room block for the Genitourinary Cancers Symposium must be secured directly through the ASCO Genitourinary Cancers Symposium Customer Service Center, or an additional charge will be applied to each registrant. The meeting runs 11 to 13 February 2027 at Moscone West in San Francisco.
The block is built online. A Group Leader creates it through the organiser's online room-block system. A confirmation based on availability and an invoice for the full cost of the room block requested then arrive by email. Room and tax for all nights must be pre-paid by the invoice date. An unpaid invoice releases the rooms. All group hotel reservation fees and payments are non-refundable. Groups manage their reservations afterwards through an online room block management website.
What the housing page publishes
The room rate includes complimentary internet access and complimentary fitness centre access. A hotel may charge for more than two occupants in a room, and specific room types are not guaranteed. Taxes and fees can move. A portion of the housing fees may be used by ASCO to defray meeting expenses.
The housing page publishes no property name, no nightly rate, no room count, no attrition clause and no minimum stay.
The contact routes are published. Registration runs through guregistration@spargoinc.com and housing through guhousing@spargoinc.com, both on 888-788-1522 or 703-449-6418. The customer service desk answers Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern. SPARGO, Inc. is the only official registration and housing provider, and the symposium runs a fraud alert about third-party booking sites.
The date the pipeline builds to
Hotel reservations and early registration close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday 16 December 2026. A reservation taken after the deadline is processed on a space-available basis and may carry a higher rate.
The change ladder sits on the same page. The online change window runs to Wednesday 27 January 2027. Thursday 28 January 2027 allows neither a change nor a cancellation. From Friday 29 January 2027 the group contacts the hotel directly. A cancellation made inside 72 hours of arrival costs one night.
The 2026 base the pipeline chases
The 2026 edition recorded 5,850 attendees. The organiser's demographic page divides that total into 5,000 professional attendees, 620 exhibitors and 230 media and others. The professional group splits into 4,200 with in-person plus online access and 800 online only. The United States leads the country list on 3,067 attendees.
Group registration carries its own terms. Each registrant needs the correct ASCO ID or a valid, unique and accessible email address. ASCO states that it must communicate directly with every registered attendee, group registrants included, and reserves the right to contact them.
The exhibitor allotment as a group clock
An exhibiting company receives five in-allotment registrations per exhibit table and meeting room purchased. A nonprofit receives three. In-allotment registrations must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday 9 February 2027. An in-allotment registration submitted after that date carries a $300 onsite processing fee. Badges above the allotment are bought during online registration.
The destination side of the funnel
Two venue pages carry the walkable inventory. The Moscone Center FAQ reads more than 20,000 hotel rooms within walking distance. The venue's book-an-event page reads more than two-thirds of the city's 34,000 hotel rooms within walking distance.
Engine puts the February par rate for a San Francisco stay at $166 a night. Three nights comes to $498.
The symposium closes on Saturday 13 February, so the group leaves on 13 or 14 February. The next edition is dated 17 to 19 February 2028 in San Francisco, 371 days after the 2027 open.
