Eight dated anchors for a Lunar New Year group block

The Chamber's 2027 calendar runs 30 January to 14 March, with eight dated anchors, the published street-fair hours and the March rate step for group sellers.

Eight dated items between 30 January and 7 March

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco publishes its 2027 Lunar New Year programme as separate dated items. The first opens on Saturday 30 January 2027. The last falls on Sunday 7 March. They sit 36 days apart.

The Flower Market Fair runs Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January on Grant Street between Clay and Broadway. The Zodiac on Parade display starts Sunday 31 January. Choy Sun Doe Day falls on Saturday 6 February. The Basketball Jamboree runs Saturday 13 February at the Betty Ann Ong Recreation Center, 1199 Mason Street. The Miss Chinatown USA Pageant and Coronation Ball runs Friday 19 February at The Masonic, 1111 California Street. The parade steps off at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday 20 February from 2nd and Market Streets. The Community Street Fair runs Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 February on Grant Street between California and Broadway. The Chinatown YMCA Run falls on Sunday 7 March.

Two anchors span a Saturday and a Sunday

Hours sit in a second Chamber document. The 2027 street fairs announcement PDF on chineseparade.com gives the Flower Market Fair as 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. It gives the Community Street Fair as 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

A Friday arrival and a Sunday departure covers either pair and holds two nights. The pair reads 29 to 31 January, and 19 to 21 February.

Both fairs carry more than 120 booths and concessions and both are non-smoking. The Community Street Fair adds an entertainment stage on Pacific Street below Grant Avenue.

Four single-day anchors set their own arrival night

Choy Sun Doe Day on 6 February puts the Choy Suns on Chinatown streets handing out Lai Sees, each holding a chocolate gold coin, some holding money or a gift certificate.

The Basketball Jamboree on 13 February runs at 1199 Mason Street. A Saturday start needs the Friday night.

The pageant and the Coronation Ball run on Friday 19 February at The Masonic, 1111 California Street. That anchor buys a Friday night in the middle of February, one day before the parade.

The YMCA Run on Sunday 7 March publishes as the 49th annual Chinese New Year Run, with a 10K, a 5K and a walk. The Chamber dates the 2027 edition and publishes no start time. The YMCA's own event page still carries the 2026 edition, which started at 8:00 a.m. on Grant Avenue at Sacramento Street and finished at 9:20 a.m. on Kearny Street at Sacramento Street, rain or shine. A morning start puts the party in the hotel on the Saturday night.

The 31 January statue start

The Chamber's 2027 save-the-dates calendar runs the Ram display from Sunday 31 January to Sunday 14 March, 43 days. It publishes no statue count and no location list for the Ram edition.

The prior edition is the reference point. The 2026 Horse display ran two statues from 31 January to 15 March 2026, 43 days between the first and the last date. The Chamber introduced the public art project in 2021 and auctions each edition's statues for community non-profits after the display.

The statue start opens the season on the Flower Market Fair's second day and gives a walkable reason to hold a room past that fair. The Ram display closes on 14 March, one week after the YMCA Run.

The two-night shapes and the nights they hold

A Saturday anchor carries two nights when the block opens Friday. That gives 29 to 31 January for the Flower Market Fair, 5 to 7 February for Choy Sun Doe, and 12 to 14 February for the Basketball Jamboree.

Parade weekend carries three. Friday 19 February holds the ball, Saturday 20 holds the parade and the fair's first day, and Sunday 21 holds the fair's second day. A Monday 22 February checkout closes it.

The 7 March run carries two nights, Friday 5 and Saturday 6 March, for a Sunday morning start.

The price basis moves in March

Engine puts the city average at $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. Its February line reads $166, one percent above the average. Its March line reads $197, 19 percent above the average and $31 above February. Engine defines these as par rates, the cheapest public price at each search.

A package that reaches the 7 March run prices its last night on the March line. A package that closes on 21 February stays on February's price.

Convention demand lands on three of the anchors

The Moscone event feed dates SPIE Photonics West 2027 from 30 January to 4 February, the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium from 11 to 13 February, and the Orthopaedic Research Society 2027 Annual Meeting at Moscone West from 19 to 23 February.

Photonics West opens on the Flower Market Fair's first day. ASCO GU closes on the Basketball Jamboree's Saturday. The ORS meeting runs five days across the ball, the parade and the fair's second day.

What the Chamber does not publish

No page read carries a hotel block, a group rate, a cut-off date or a shuttle for any of these dates. The parade office answers on (415) 889-8891 and info@chineseparade.com. The Chamber sits at 730 Sacramento Street.

Vendor deadlines are published. Flower Market Fair applications fall due Friday 15 January 2027 and Community Street Fair applications fall due Friday 5 February 2027, and a late application carries a $100 charge.
