OPMA Books Three Nights in Lloyd and Two Days of Exhibit Hall

OPMA held 25 CECH in Room F150-151 over 22-24 October on a three-night Hyatt Regency block cut off 22 days before the open.

The booking

The Oregon Podiatric Medical Association brought its Oregon Foot & Ankle Conference to the Oregon Convention Center from Thursday 22 to Saturday 24 October 2026. The venue lists Room F150-151 and marks the event registration required.

The programme carried 25 CECH: 9.5 on Thursday, 9.5 on Friday and 6 on Saturday. The program guide states that OPMA is accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine, and that OPMA approved this activity for a maximum of 25 continuing education contact hours.

Who the programme brought

The guide names podiatric physicians as the intended audience. The exhibitor page widens it to surgeons and healthcare professionals from Oregon and the surrounding region.

Registration set four paying tiers and two free ones. The OPMA member line ran free up to 1 August 2026 and $49 from that date. APMA members paid $499 before the deadline and $549 after it. The non-APMA line ran $1,199 and $1,249 across the same split. Allied health professionals sat on the APMA numbers. Residents and students paid nothing at either date.

Three nights in the block came to $417, which is 34.8 percent of the $1,199 non-member registration.

Three nights and one published rate

The block sat at the Hyatt Regency, 375 NE Holladay Street, at $139 a night plus tax under group code G-OPMA. Bookings closed on 30 September 2026.

Three 7:00 a.m. opens fixed the arrival. The meeting opened at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and closed at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Those clocks required the nights of Wednesday 21, Thursday 22 and Friday 23, with departure on Saturday 24. Three nights at $139 came to $417 before tax.

The cut-off left 22 days between the booking deadline and the Thursday open.

OpenStreetMap records 15 named hotels within 1.2 km of the building and nine within 800 m, measured in a straight line. The Hyatt Regency sits 299 m from the centre, Inn at the Convention Center 298 m, Hotel Eastlund 351 m, Quality Inn 488 m and Courtyard 559 m.

One of those 15 carried a published rate for this meeting across the organiser's pages.

A two-day exhibit hall in a three-day meeting

The vendor prospectus set exhibitor setup at Thursday 7:00-10:00 a.m. and teardown at Friday 3:45-6:00 p.m. A booth measures 8 feet by 8 feet and carries one 6-foot draped table and two chairs.

The prospectus designated 45-minute breaks for attendees at 10:00-10:45 a.m. and 3:00-3:45 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. The program guide carried the morning window at 10:00-10:45 a.m. and the afternoon window at 2:45-3:30 p.m. Both documents were live on the organiser's site on 24 October.

Saturday's delegates met without a hall. No booth count and no attendance figure appeared on the pages read. The exhibitor page said only that space is limited.

Sponsorship is an annual line

The prospectus sold three annual memberships: Silver at $2,500, Gold at $5,000 and Platinum at $10,000.

Ten features ran across the ladder. They covered access to the membership list, advertising space in two e-blasts, half-off an exhibit booth, recognition as a corporate member on the OPMA website with a description and logo, a link from that site, a bag insert, a full-page advertisement in the program guide, a complimentary premier booth, sole sponsorship of a refreshment break, and a non-CME speaking, workshop or cadaver lab slot.

Three cells printed values: unlimited access to the membership list at Platinum, an upgraded booth line at Platinum, and bag inserts at one for Silver and two for each higher tier.

Two partners carried named descriptions on the conference site. Northwest Health Care (NWCare) provides podiatric care with on-site X-ray and 3D laser scanning for custom orthotics. Sagis is a Houston diagnostic laboratory with a podiatric pathology division. The program guide added DePuy Synthes as sponsor of the Thursday 6:00 p.m. annual business meeting, and its general information block stated that no commercial interest provided financial support for the continuing education activity.

Four bookings in the venue's October

The venue's October 2026 calendar listed four events. OPMA ran 22-24 October in Room F150-151. Functional Fabric Fair ran 27-28 October in Halls B-C-D-E. ZERO to THREE LEARN ran 28-29 October in Hall A. CANVAS 2026 ran 30 October to 4 November in Halls A1-B-C.

Functional Fabric Fair closed on 28 October while ZERO to THREE opened in Hall A.

The Lloyd base

The centre sits in the Lloyd neighbourhood, with the Moda Center and Veterans Memorial Coliseum alongside. OCC runs the Convention District Safe Connect Program with Portland Metro Chamber and Portland Downtown Clean & Safe, which posts public safety coordinators and provides escort service between the centre, hotels and transit stops.

TriMet's MAX light rail stops 300 times a day near the front door and connects to Portland International Airport, eight miles away. The Streetcar A Loop arrives at NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes.

The venue garage holds 800 spaces at $15 for up to 18 hours, with a $15 to $25 event entry rate, no in-and-out privileges and no overnight parking. A delegate staying three nights parked elsewhere.

The repeat question

The venue's sitemap listed one OPMA edition, dated 22-24 October 2026. No earlier edition at this address appeared in that list. A rotation cycle stayed unpublished on these sources.

The annual membership ladder carried the repeat mechanism. A partner at Platinum paid $10,000 a year for year-round recognition and a booth at the annual conference, which dates the next edition's sponsor cohort before the next programme is set.

The date a group desk could hold was 30 September, 22 days before the open, in a month when the venue's own calendar carried four bookings.
