Eight Hotels, One Waterfront Venue: Group Business at The AI Conference 2026

The AI Conference 2026 takes Pier 48 for three days with 5,500+ delegates on the two main days. Eight hotels carry the group load, seven with cut-off dates from August 28 to September 6.

The Venue And Its Rooms

Pier 48 sits on the Mission Rock waterfront in San Francisco, steps from Oracle Park. The AI Conference 2026 takes Shed A and B at 48 Pier 48 for three days, September 29 to October 1.

The organiser publishes the venue's own shape. Pier 48 carries five main areas: four presentation halls, a vendor and sponsor presentation area, and an atrium where networking mixers and food and beverage are served. The FAQ adds indoor and outdoor networking areas with tables for dining and networking.

The venue publishes no guest rooms. The conference runs three days, with 5,500+ delegates on the two main days and a 350-person Day Zero on September 29. The room supply for the event sits on the organiser's hotel list.

The Eight-Hotel List

The list is published in order of availability and carries eight properties. Each entry carries an address, a distance and a direct phone line.

Distances run from Luma Hotel San Francisco at 100 Channel St, 0.3 mile and a 6-minute walk, to Hotel Julian at 940 Sutter St, 2.4 miles and a 13-minute car ride.

Hotel VIA at 138 King St sits at 0.6 mile and a 9-minute walk. The Hyatt Regency San Francisco at 50 3rd St sits at 1.6 miles and 9 minutes by car. W San Francisco at 181 3rd St is 1.8 miles and 15 minutes. SoMa House at 121 7th St and Hotel Fiona at 140 7th St are both 1.9 miles and 11 minutes. Cartwright Hotel Union Square at 524 Sutter St is 2.3 miles and 12 minutes.

Three properties carry a STILL AVAILABLE marker on the read: SoMa House, W San Francisco and Cartwright Hotel Union Square.

Two Walkable, Six By Car

Two properties sit within a walk of the shed. Luma is nearest at 0.3 mile, and Hotel VIA follows at 0.6 mile. The remaining six publish as car rides of 9 to 15 minutes.

Rideshare cannot drop at the building front. The FAQ routes Lyft to Pier 48 and Uber to Pier 48 at 297 Terry A Francois Blvd. Parking guidance points to Park Wiz.

Three Days, Two Scales

The conference publishes two attendance figures. The two-day main conference on September 30 and October 1 carries 5,500+ builders, researchers and leaders. Day Zero on September 29 is capped at 350 participants.

Day Zero runs eight 90-minute workshops across a technical track and a leadership track. Hack Day runs alongside. The winning Hack Day team pitches to venture capitalists on the Startup Showdown stage during Day 1 of the main conference.

The published clocks set the nights. Day Zero registration opens at 8:30 a.m. on September 29. The main conference opens at 7:30 a.m. on September 30 and closes with a 5:00 p.m. reception on October 1. A delegate attending all three days needs the nights of September 28, 29 and 30.

Seven Cut-Off Dates

Seven of the eight properties publish a cut-off date. Luma closes August 28 and the Hyatt Regency closes September 6. Cartwright Hotel Union Square, Hotel Fiona and Hotel Julian each close August 29. W San Francisco closes September 1 and Hotel VIA closes September 2. SoMa House carries none.

Every cut-off sits before the September 29 opener. No room rate publishes on any entry. Each booking link goes to the property's own reservation page.

The District Read

The group load lands on the surrounding inventory, because the venue publishes no guest rooms. The organiser's list is the supply it points attendees to, and its cut-off dates are the group clock.

Engine puts San Francisco at $165 a night across 3.1M public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, on par rates observed 10 to 180 days before check-in. September runs $192, or 16 percent above the city average. March is the peak at $197 and December the floor at $129. San Francisco ranks 18th of 50 markets, 11 percent above the $148 median.

The next edition is dated October 12 to 14, 2027, in San Francisco.
