ASHA brings 13,500 delegates and 2,500 sessions to the Indianapolis Convention Center

ASHA brings a 13,500 forecast, more than 2,500 sessions and an exhibit hall in Halls G to I with 208,100 square feet and 1,097 booth spaces. Housing runs through Maritz Global Events alone.

The floor this show takes

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association holds its 2026 annual convention at the Indiana Convention Center from November 19 to 21. The venue publishes a forecast of 13,500 attendees, more than 2,500 sessions and an exhibit hall with nearly 400 exhibitors.

ASHA places the hall in Halls G to I and states that more than 300 unique businesses exhibit each year.

The venue's facility guide publishes the hall sizes. Hall G measures 44,000 square feet with 231 ten-by-ten booth spaces. Hall H measures 75,200 square feet with 373. Hall I measures 88,900 square feet with 493. Halls G to I hold 208,100 square feet and 1,097 booth spaces under 35-foot ceilings.

The room base the show draws on

The venue footer on every page states 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis and 4,700 rooms connected to the center by skywalk. The facility guide states 4,721 rooms connected to the center, 7,175 rooms within a six-block radius, and 4,570 committable group rooms downtown.

Against the 4,700 skywalk-connected rooms, the 208,100 square feet of exhibit hall works out to 44.3 square feet per room. Against the facility guide's 4,721 connected rooms the figure is 44.1. Against the 7,100 downtown rooms it is 29.3.

Halls B and C hold the general session

The Opening General Session runs at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. The facility guide gives Hall B 4,650 theatre seats and Hall C 4,200 theatre seats. That totals 8,850 seats across 91,400 square feet of floor.

The venue's event calendar carries the convention as November 19 to 21 with the 13,500 forecast.

Nearly 400 exhibitors against 1,097 booth spaces

The venue's exhibitor figure is nearly 400. ASHA's figure is more than 300 unique businesses each year. The 1,097 ten-by-ten spaces in Halls G to I work out to 2.74 times the venue's exhibitor count and 189.7 square feet per space across the three halls.

ASHA also lists exhibitor demonstration stations, an Audiology Square, a Member Entrepreneurs area, a nonprofit area, an Office of Multicultural Affairs booth, the ASHA Member Services Center and the ASHA Store in the hall.

Housing runs through one company

Maritz Global Events holds the housing contract. ASHA states that Maritz is the only official registration and housing provider, that attendees reach the booking system only through the convention site, and that the block rates are unavailable through other companies.

The rate list carries 27 properties from $169 to $300 for a single night, per night before taxes. The organiser's hotel map adds the Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Downtown, which the rate list does not carry.

The map marks six properties for shuttle service: the Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis Downtown, the Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown, the Staybridge Suites City Centre, the Tru by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown, the TownePlace Suites Indianapolis Downtown and The Alexander. ASHA publishes complimentary shuttle service from November 19 to 21 for attendees at ASHA hotels outside walking distance of the center, and states that it does not provide airport ground transportation.

Two warnings sit beside the block. The unauthorized-vendors page names Maritz Global Events, formerly Spargo, as the only official housing company, names three look-alike domains, and relays an FBI warning about OAuth consent phishing through event-communication emails. The same page states that ASHA cannot assist attendees who reserve outside the block.

The clocks the show runs on

The exhibit hall runs 20.5 hours across the three days: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Education sessions run 26.5 hours: 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday. The venue publisher states more than 2,500 sessions across those three days, which works out to 833.3 sessions a day.

Registration opening covers 36.5 published hours across the run: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The calendar around the block

The venue's event calendar places the Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference and Trade Show on November 8 to 10 with a 600 forecast, and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention on November 11 to 14 with a 5,200 forecast. No convention center booking falls between November 15 and November 18. The next booking after ASHA is the Economic Club of Indiana Luncheon on December 2 with a 300 forecast.

What the ratio asks of a sourcing group

A group pricing this week holds 208,100 square feet of exhibit hall against 4,700 skywalk-connected rooms. The 13,500 forecast equals 190.1 percent of the venue's 7,100 downtown rooms and 2.86 delegates per connected room on the facility guide's 4,721 figure.

The destination publishes 200 downtown restaurants within walking distance and 15 minutes to Indianapolis International Airport on the venue footer. ASHA lists the convention address as 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46225.
