Best Practices Expo Lands in Indianapolis for Three Days

The Best Practices 2026 EXPO & Conference runs 13 to 15 October at the Indiana Convention Center, the event's first visit to Indiana, with a venue forecast of 1,200 delegates. Two downtown hotels hold the room block and the Indiana Manufacturers Association supports the conference.

A First Indiana Booking

The Best Practices 2026 EXPO & Conference takes the Indiana Convention Center for three days, 13 to 15 October 2026. The venue publishes a forecast attendance of 1,200 delegates, and this is the event's first booking in Indiana.

Roderick M. Smith, publisher of Best Practices Magazines & Expo, tied the booking to the state's manufacturing base. "Manufacturing's percentage of total GDP in Indiana is at the very top in the U.S. and we're looking forward to bringing our 'Best Practices' partners to the state for the first time," Smith said.

The Host-City Inventory

Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms, according to the venue's own counts, and 4,700 of them sit on the skywalk network connected to the convention center. Two hundred restaurants lie within walking distance and the airport is 15 minutes away. The building covers a six-block area in the center of downtown and connects to Lucas Oil Stadium.

Two Blocks, Two Rates

The organiser holds reduced-rate rooms at two downtown hotels, both connected to the convention center through indoor walking tunnels. The Crowne Plaza Downtown Union Station rate is $214 a night, and its group pricing cutoff runs to Friday 25 September. The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis rate is $229 a night, with a reservation deadline of Friday 18 September.

Reduced-rate rooms are limited, and the organiser recommends early booking. Group discount enquiries go to Kimberly Hill at kimberly@airbestpractices.com. Reservation questions and changes go to the same address.

The In-State Partner

The Indiana Manufacturers Association supports the conference as a supporting organisation, and its president and CEO, Andrew Berger, is a featured speaker. "Indiana manufacturers are constantly looking for ways to optimize their operations and reduce energy costs," Berger said.

Who Fills the Rooms

The programme covers on-site plant utilities: compressed air, nitrogen, HVAC and process cooling, and blower and vacuum systems. The organiser lists plant managers, production managers, energy managers, plant engineers, maintenance managers, sales engineers, service technicians and engineering firms among the attendees.

The Same Week in the Building

The Metal Treating Institute's Furnaces North America runs 12 to 15 October in Exhibit Hall B, with a venue forecast of 1,500. The Indiana IT Symposium runs 14 October in Sagamore Ballroom 4-5, with a venue forecast of 300. Wednesday 14 October carries all three events at once. The three forecasts sum to 3,000 people against the 7,100 downtown rooms.

What a Planner Files

Registration is open at cabpexpo.com. A conference pass runs $550 at the early-bird rate and $675 standard, and an EXPO pass runs $55 and $105, with early-bird pricing until 30 September.

Housing runs through the organiser. The organiser publishes a housing fraud alert and states that no event-authorised organisation contacts attendees or exhibitors about hotel rooms. Reports of such contact go to Bill@airbestpractices.com. The venue's event page lists no hall assignment, so programme space inside the building is unpublished.
