Exhibit Hall A-K Holds 20,000 for the Central Zone Invitational

The 2027 Central Zone Invitational brings 20,000 attendees to Exhibit Hall A-K on 23-24 January, with 107 block hotels and 4,700 skywalk-connected downtown rooms.

The 2027 Central Zone Invitational in One Paragraph

The 2027 Central Zone Invitational runs January 23 and 24, 2027 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The venue publishes a forecast attendance of 20,000. The footprint is Exhibit Hall A-K. The hosts are the Capitol Sports Center and Circle City Volleyball. January 23, 2027 is a Saturday, and January 24 is a Sunday.

The venue's live calendar carries the tournament as a single row on 23-24 January at 20,000. It is the largest of the eight January events the venue lists.

What Exhibit Hall A-K Measures

Visit Indy publishes a per-hall square-footage table for the Indiana Convention Center. Hall A is 44,000 square feet. Hall B is 48,200. Hall C is 43,200. Hall D is 46,800. Hall E is 40,500. Hall F is 51,300. Hall G is 45,400. Hall H is 74,400. Hall I is 88,600. Hall J is 36,400. Hall K is 38,700. The eleven halls total 557,500 square feet.

Spread across the venue's 20,000 forecast, that total is 27.9 square feet per attendee. The same bureau page gives the center 566,600 square feet of contiguous exhibit space across 11 halls, 71 meeting rooms, 49 loading docks and three ballrooms. Sagamore Ballroom carries 33,335 square feet, 500 Ballroom 13,536 and Wabash Ballroom 10,202.

The Room Block Is the Group Story

The event runs mandatory housing through the Tournament Advantage Program. The organiser states that all out-of-town teams must reserve rooms through the designated housing company. The same panel states that a reservation made directly with a hotel will not count toward the participation requirement. Housing opened Tuesday, September 1 at 9 a.m. Eastern. Booking runs by phone at 800-476-0060 ext. 118 or on the ITS site.

The ITS event page carries 107 properties. Event hotel rates start at $115 per night. A $12.00 booking fee applies per reservation. The event posts its own room ratio and commuter distance as TAP 5 rooms / 60 mi.

On a 23 September 2026 read, 105 of the 107 cards carried a sold-out badge and 198 individual room-type rows read None left. Two properties could take a booking. Conrad Hilton Downtown Indianapolis, 0.4 miles from the venue, held 19 King rooms at $312 with a 2-night and 3-night minimum label on the property. Signia by Hilton Indianapolis Convention Center, 0.2 miles from the venue, held six rooms left in a Club Signia Suite at $583. Best Western Plus North Indianapolis at the Pyramids, 11.6 miles out, also carries a sold-out badge.

Every card carries one window. Available now, Jan 23-Jan 24. An extra night, Jan 22, can be added when you book, subject to availability. The block's base stay is the Saturday night, and the Friday night is the add-on. Seven of the 107 properties carry a 2-night or 3-night minimum label.

Walkability and the Airport

The venue footer publishes 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis, 4,700 of them connected to the convention center by skywalk. It puts 200 downtown restaurants within walking distance and gives 15 minutes to Indianapolis International Airport. Visit Indy's Wholesale District page repeats the 4,700 figure and gives the airport drive as approximately 15 minutes from Indianapolis International Airport via I-70. The venue's own dining guide reads more than 200 restaurants downtown alone.

The venue states the skywalk clock as event-dependent. Its rule of thumb is a lockdown near 11:00 p.m. and a reopening near 6:00 a.m.

The January Calendar Around It

The venue's calendar for January to mid-February 2027 returns 13 events. The Central Zone Invitational shares its month with a Youth Rally and Mass Service on January 20 at 1,500 and Dot Foods on January 27 to 29 at 2,000. A January 29 to 31 cluster follows: Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational at 5,000 and RxHealing Sales Convention at 2,000. The Indianapolis Royal Weekend closes January at 1,250 on the 31st. Victory Athletics Spirit and the Whitetail Film Tour open the month on January 9 at 450 and 300. The eight January events total 32,500.

Deadlines a Group Should Work Back From

Registration opened September 15 at noon Eastern. The organiser states that registrations go very quickly and that it expects the field to close much earlier than the November 1 date. The room list opened September 1.

Two entry deadlines appear on the organiser's own pages. The Registration panel gives 11/01/2026 for entry fees received with a completed entry form, with no refunds after November 1 or after a division fills. The Features panel gives an entry deadline of January 1st, 2027. Both sit on the same event sub-site and both are the organiser's.

The published numbers behind a room plan are the 107-property block, the $115 starting rate, the $12 per-reservation fee, the 5 rooms / 60 mi TAP pair and the one-night base window with the Friday add-on. The event publishes a $600 entry fee and a guarantee of 5 or 6 matches depending on age and division. Age divisions run 11s through 18s.
