The Window A Block Has To Cover
The IHSAA lists its 2026-27 girls swimming and diving state finals on Feb. 12-13, 2027. Feb. 12 is a Friday and Feb. 13 is a Saturday. That is two nights, a Friday arrival and a Sunday departure.
The same season calendar places first practice on Oct. 26, first contest on Nov. 9, sectionals on Feb. 4 and Feb. 6, and diving regionals on Feb. 9. The finals site is the IU Natatorium at IU Indianapolis, 901 W. New York St. The venue's events calendar lists "12-13 IHSAA Girls Swimming & Diving Championships" under February 2027.
The Published Clocks
The 2025-26 edition of the meet set the day shape. Gates opened at 4:30 p.m. ET on the Friday, and swimming preliminaries started at 6 p.m. ET. On the Saturday, gates opened at 6:45 a.m. ET, diving preliminaries and semifinals ran at 9 a.m. ET, and the championship and consolation finals in all swimming events plus the diving finals ran at 1 p.m. ET.
The top 16 in each swimming event during Friday preliminaries return on Saturday. The top eight compete for state championship honors. Those finishing nine through 16 make up the consolation heat.
The IHSAA's 2026-27 tournament page returns a 404, so the 2027 session clock stays unpublished.
The Connected Inventory
Visit Indy publishes the connected roster at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms connected to the Indiana Convention Center. Its downtown page carries more than 9,400 hotel rooms downtown and 5,200 rooms connected. The connected-hotels page puts the rooms within walking distance of the convention center above 10,000 alongside the downtown pipeline.
The Indiana Convention Center's own site lists 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis and 4,700 rooms connected by skywalk. Two publishers carry two counts. Quote one count per claim.

Visit Indy's list gives each connected property its sleeping rooms and meeting square footage. JW Marriott Indianapolis: 1,005 rooms and 104,482 square feet. Signia Hilton Indianapolis Hotel: 803 rooms and 235,000 square feet. Indy Marriott: 650 rooms and 42,000 square feet. The Westin Indianapolis: 575 rooms and 42,500 square feet. Hyatt Regency Indianapolis: 499 rooms and 35,000 square feet. Embassy Suites Indianapolis Downtown: 360 rooms and 24,200 square feet. Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station: 273 rooms and 52,107 square feet. Conrad Indianapolis: 247 rooms and 15,000 square feet. Courtyard, SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites: 621 rooms combined. Le Méridien Indianapolis: 100 rooms and 2,668 square feet.

The Property Mix On A Friday Arrival
Room count and meeting square footage are the two published figures a group seller sizes against. The JW Marriott anchors Marriott IndyPlace, five interconnected Marriott brand hotels offering 2,276 rooms.
Embassy Suites Indianapolis Downtown publishes 360 all-suite rooms. Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station publishes 26 Pullman traincar sleeper rooms. Hyatt Regency Indianapolis connects to the convention center and Circle Centre mall. Courtyard, SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites connect to the JW Marriott's amenities and meeting space.
The 2025-26 Friday clock put gates at 4:30 p.m. ET and preliminaries at 6 p.m. ET. The Saturday finals ran at 1 p.m. ET.
What The Block Does Not Carry
The IHSAA publishes no housing block, no room rate and no cut-off date for the state finals. Placement runs direct to the properties. The 2027 ticket terms stay unpublished.
The 2025-26 edition ran all tickets digitally through Eventlink. General admission cost $15 per session. Children 5 and younger were admitted free in general admission seating. A limited number of $35 reserved tickets covered both days, at a maximum of eight per purchase.
The Month Around The Window
The Natatorium's calendar carries four bookings across four consecutive February 2027 weekends. Jaguar Aquatics Winter Invitational, Feb. 5-7. IHSAA girls championships, Feb. 12-13. Horizon League Swimming & Diving Championships, Feb. 17-20. IHSAA boys championships, Feb. 26-27.
Five days separate the Jaguar close from the girls open. Four days separate the girls close from the Horizon League open. Six days separate the Horizon League close from the boys open.
The placement question for a group seller is which connected property holds a team-and-family mix on a Friday arrival, and where the two-night district block sits inside a month that runs four bookings across four consecutive weekends.
