Five Octobers, Two Contracted Weeks a Season
Music for All’s future-dates page lists the Bands of America Indianapolis Super Regional in five consecutive Octobers: 16-17 October 2026, 22-23 October 2027, 20-21 October 2028, 19-20 October 2029 and 18-19 October 2030. Every edition falls on a Friday and a Saturday. The same page lists the Grand National Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium for 12-14 November 2026, 11-13 November 2027, 9-11 November 2028, 8-10 November 2029 and 14-16 November 2030.
The 2026 Field
Ninety-two bands are on the organiser’s participation list, updated 24 September 2026. Sixty-six are from Indiana and twenty-six from nine other states: Ohio with eight, Kentucky with four, and Illinois, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Carolina and South Dakota behind them. The venue’s own page describes the field as over 90 high school marching bands from 10 states.
The format holds two days. Friday covers 60 bands from 7:00 a.m. to a 10:45 p.m. final slot. Saturday covers 32 bands from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and fourteen finalists return for a session that runs 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The Room Base the City Publishes
The Indiana Convention Center puts 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis and 4,700 of them on its skywalk network. Visit Indy counts 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms connected to the convention centre, and credits the city with a USA Today accolade for the most hotels and rooms connected into a convention centre.
What a Group Seller Can Put in a Proposal
The organiser publishes the dates, the format and the band list. A school district, a booster organisation or a tour operator can place a trip inside a fixed two-day window through 2030. The start date moves by six days across the five editions, from 16 October at the earliest to 22 October at the latest, and every date falls on a Friday.

The Calendar Around It
Lucas Oil Stadium’s own October 2026 feed returns four records: the Ed Sheeran LOOP Tour on 10 October, the Super Regionals on 16-17 October, a Colts game against the Tennessee Titans on 18 October, and The R&B Tour starring USHER and Chris Brown on 31 October.
The Indiana Convention Center’s feed carries the Midwest Multifamily Conference on 15-16 October, then the National FFA Convention & Expo from 21 to 24 October, which the venue forecasts at 70,000 attendees. The Super Regional’s two days sit in a week the convention centre has largely cleared and the stadium has booked twice.
What Is Not Published
No room block, group rate, cut-off date, shuttle plan or housing partner is published for the Indianapolis Super Regional. The organiser’s page names no hotel, and the venue’s page carries no lodging terms. No room-night figure exists in the published record.
The published material is the shape a destination sells against: five consecutive Octobers on the same Friday-Saturday format, 92 bands from 10 states, and 4,700 rooms on the convention centre’s own skywalk count.
