The organiser's own numbers
The King Mango Strut runs on Sunday, 3 January 2027, through the streets of Coconut Grove. The parade starts at 2 p.m. with the banana drop. It ends at 6 p.m.
The About page puts the crowd at over 10,000 onlookers and the marchers at hundreds. The organiser publishes that as an estimate, on its own page. Give the client the figure and the page it came from, then build the room list from the client's headcount.
Admission is free and the organiser sells no ticket. A planner works from the estimate, because the parade produces no scan count.
Two nights, set by two clocks
Street closure begins at 10 a.m. on the Sunday. A group arriving on Sunday morning parks outside the closed route and walks in before 10 a.m.
The 6 p.m. finish sets the second night. Post-parade entertainment on Commodore Plaza follows the parade directly. A guest who checks out on Sunday morning gives up the room before the plaza programme begins.
Two nights cover the weekend. Arrival Saturday, 2 January. Departure Monday, 4 January.
The garage goes in the contract
The organiser names the Municipal Garage at Oak Avenue and Mary Street, one block from the parade route. Five further lots sit on the same list: CocoWalk, Mayfair, Coconut Grove Playhouse, St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and Coconut Grove Elementary School.
The organiser publishes no rate, no height restriction and no event-day hours for any of the six. Get those three answers in writing and attach them to the group contract. A coach operator needs the height limit before the route closes at 10 a.m.
Bike Coconut Grove runs a free attended bicycle valet from noon to 5:30 p.m. Riders leave bikes in the courtyard of St. Stephen's church and enter from the church parking lot on Main Highway. A package carries that line at no cost.
The room product
The Mutiny Hotel publishes one- and two-bedroom suites that sleep four or six adults. Each suite carries a full kitchen and a living room. The property also publishes meeting rooms, a banquet room and a business centre.
Its FAQ sets four terms. The first night's room and tax is charged at booking. Changes and cancellations need 72 hours' notice, or the group forfeits one night's room and tax. Advance purchase rates are non-refundable. Early departure carries a one-night penalty.
The same page fixes the arrival clock. Check-in is at or after 4 p.m. Check-out is before 11 a.m. A guest who wants a room before 10 a.m. on Sunday books the Saturday night, which the hotel's own early-arrival line recommends. That line and the organiser's closure hour point at the same answer.
Valet parking runs $30 a night plus tax per car, and the hotel publishes no self-parking. Package and luggage storage may carry a fee. The front desk answers those questions on 305-441-2100.
What a marching contingent adds
The terms and conditions require every contingent to supply monitors. The monitors walk alongside the group and enforce the parade rules. They must attend a mandatory orientation on the afternoon of the parade.
That session needs a room and a named list. Put the monitors on the rooming list and put the orientation space in the block request.
Placement is not first come, first served. The organiser sets the order and issues parade order numbers before the day of the event.
Three clauses to fix before signing
The cut-off date is the day a guest must book inside the block to hold the group rate. Unclaimed rooms return to public inventory at standard rates after that date.
The attrition clause sets the share of the block the group must fill. The group pays a fee on the rooms it never fills.
The deposit ladder sets what is charged at signing and the date each night becomes non-refundable. The Mutiny's first-night deposit and its 72-hour window show the shape of that ladder. Read the chosen property's own FAQ before the proposal leaves the desk.
What the client buys
Two nights, a garage a block from the route, and a walk to a free parade. The crowd estimate comes from the organiser's About page. The room count comes from the client's list.
Pin the proposal to the published clock. Closure 10 a.m. Start 2 p.m. End 6 p.m. Plaza programme after. Bike valet from noon.
