Exhibit Hall B and 1,500 Delegates: Sourcing the Metal Treating Fall Meeting

The Metal Treating Institute Fall Meeting runs with Furnaces North America at the Indiana Convention Center, 12-15 October 2026. The $229 block, its booking terms and the host-city inventory a planner works with.

What the Planner Is Booking

The Metal Treating Institute's 2026 Fall Meeting runs alongside Furnaces North America 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis. The venue gives a forecast attendance of 1,500 and puts the show floor in Exhibit Hall B. The published dates run Monday 12 to Thursday 15 October 2026.

Two buildings carry the week. The convention center holds registration, the technical sessions and the expo floor. The Marriott Downtown Indianapolis at 350 West Maryland Street holds the management training day, the kickoff reception, the members' receptions and the Final Night Dinner. The organiser describes the Marriott as across the street from the convention center.

The Block and Its Terms

The host hotel block is the Marriott Downtown Indianapolis at $229, with a booking deadline of 25 September 2026. Reservations run through a dedicated online page and a phone line at 877-640-7666. Show management states it expects the room blocks to sell out well in advance of the show dates.

Two published conditions belong in a rooming-list review. The organiser asks attendees to book only the rooms they will realistically use, and states that rooms held and then cancelled near the meeting date could bring a penalty to the Metal Treating Institute for unused contracted rooms. The organiser also states the show uses no third party to book rooms, and that calls offering to book on the show's behalf are a scam.

The Host-City Inventory

The venue's numbers block gives 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis, 4,700 rooms connected to the convention center by skywalks, 200 downtown restaurants within walking distance and 15 minutes to Indianapolis International Airport. Those four lines repeat in the footer of every page on the venue site.

The connected share is 66.2 percent of the venue's downtown base, so two of every three downtown rooms sit on the skywalk network.

Visit Indy publishes its own counts for the same campus. Its meetings pages give 4,700 hotel rooms connected by climate-controlled skywalks, over 7,500 downtown rooms in total, over 300 downtown restaurants and 749,000 square feet of exhibit space. The restaurant counts differ by publisher, at 200 within walking distance from the venue and over 300 downtown from the destination bureau. Quote each with the publisher that carries it.

The Programme and What It Costs

The week is a two-day expo inside a four-day envelope. Registration and badge pick-up opens 7:00 a.m. Monday outside Hall B, with exhibitor move-in in the same hall from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday runs technical sessions 8:00 to 11:15 a.m. and the business expo 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a floor reception 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday runs technical sessions 8:00 to 10:30 a.m., the expo 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., exhibitor move-out from 2:30 p.m. and the members' evening from 6:00 p.m. to an 11:00 p.m. dinner close.

The organiser advertises 35 technical sessions over the two days. Expo-only entry is free before 1 September, $10 from 1 to 30 September and $25 from 1 October. The package with technical sessions and both receptions runs $349, $399 and $449 across the same three windows. The members-only Final Night Awards Dinner is $189, $199 and $209, and it sits outside every package. Cancellations take a full refund before 1 September, 50 percent between 1 September and 2 October, and nothing after 2 October.

Dates and the Shape of the Week

Two publishers agree on Monday 12 to Thursday 15 October. The venue page and the Metal Treating Institute's own association page both carry that window. The show's own site heads every page October 12-14, 2026, and its schedule closes Wednesday 14 October with move-out from 2:30 p.m. For a rooming list, the programme's last content day is Wednesday 14 October and the venue's Thursday close is the checkout morning.

The venue calendar lists 12 events between 22 September and 15 October 2026 and closes with this one. Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October hold the closing days of the American Dental Association Scientific Sessions at a forecast 4,000 and the FullScale Symposium at a forecast 1,000, with the ABC Health & Fitness Expo at a forecast 2,000 on Saturday 10 October. Sunday 11 October carries no listed event.
