The CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon runs on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Its companion event runs the two days before it. The Indiana Convention Center lists the Monumental Health and Fitness Expo for November 6, 2026 in Exhibit Hall A-B with a forecast attendance of 20,000.
The venue's November calendar carries six bookings. The National Science Teaching Association Fall Convention runs November 4 to 7 with a forecast of 4,000, and it shares November 6 with the expo. Midwest Healthcare Engineering follows on November 8 to 10 at 600, IU Health on November 10 at 2,200, the Percussive Arts Society International Convention on November 11 to 14 at 5,200, and ASHA on November 19 to 21 at 13,500. Lucas Oil Stadium sits on the same campus.
Twelve Hours of Packet Collection
The organiser, Beyond Monumental, opens packet pickup on two afternoons. Thursday, November 5 runs 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 6 runs 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Both windows sit in Exhibit Hall A-B, and the two days give runners 12 hours of collection time.
The venue's event page dates the expo to November 6. The organiser publishes the November 5 window on its race weekend schedule. A planner reading the venue listing sees one day of hall use, and the collection schedule runs two.
The Forecast Against Downtown Stock
The venue publishes four city figures on every page. Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms, and 4,700 of them connect to the Indiana Convention Center by skywalk. Downtown holds 200 restaurants within walking distance, and the venue puts Indianapolis International Airport 15 minutes away.
One attendee per room would need 20,000 rooms, 281.7 percent of the district's published count. Two per room needs 10,000 rooms, 140.8 percent of the district. Three per room needs 6,666 rooms, 93.9 percent. The 4,700 skywalk-connected rooms hold 9,400 people at two per room, 47 percent of the forecast. Those 4,700 rooms are 66.2 percent of downtown stock, and 2,400 downtown rooms sit outside the skywalk set.
The Block's Four Dates
The organiser holds a block of guestrooms at a number of downtown hotels and routes booking through its 2026 Hotel Block website. A guest selects "Attendee" in the dropdown and enters no access code. The property list, the distance bands and the rates sit behind that selection, so no property rate is published to a reader.
Four dates carry deadlines for a group. September 29, 2026 is the deadline to assign guest occupant names to rooms held under one name. October 8, 2026 is the deadline to cancel without penalty, and each reservation cancelled after that Thursday carries a $25 fee. October 5 through October 16, 2026 is the window to make new reservations or add nights, with the date varying by hotel. October 22, 2026 is the deadline to modify an existing reservation through the Housing Bureau.
The Visit Indy Housing Bureau answers at housing@visitindy.com and 317-262-8191, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. After October 22 a guest contacts the hotel directly. The organiser publishes a waitlist route for a preferred property.
Race Weekend Clocks
The expo closes at 8:00 p.m. Friday. The half marathon and the marathon start at 8:00 a.m. Saturday from Washington Street and West Street. Gear check opens at 6:30 a.m., the 5K starts at 8:40 a.m., and the course closes at 3:30 p.m.
Every participant collects the clear gear check bag at the expo and must use that bag on race morning. All bags are subject to search.
Registration State
General registration for all in-person distances is sold out, and the organiser carries that notice on every page. A waitlist serves the full marathon and the half marathon. Charity entries remain open through official charity partners, and each partner sets its own fundraising or donation minimum.
The block's dates run ahead of the first pickup window. September 29 sits 37 days before November 5, October 8 sits 28 days before it, and October 22 sits 14 days before it.
