Seven Societies and a Sold-Out Floor
The Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference & Trade Show runs November 8 to 10, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Ave. The venue publisher forecasts 600 attendees and places the meeting in Exhibit Hall A. The organiser lists Hall A and Rooms 123 through 128.
Seven regional societies present the event: the Central Illinois Chapter of Healthcare Engineers, the Healthcare Engineers Society of Northern Illinois, the Indiana Society for Healthcare Engineering, the Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineering, the Southeastern Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineering, the Southern Illinois Chapter for Healthcare Engineering, and the TriState Society of Healthcare Engineers.
The exhibit floor is sold out with more than 100 exhibitors. The prior edition drew more than 540 attendees. The 2026 theme is Built to Adapt.
What the Group Buys
The organiser states the conference is approved for 11 contact hours by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. Sunday carries 1.5, Monday 6 and Tuesday 3.5.
The exhibit hall opens one day. The trade show runs Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The hall also opens Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during a happy hour and ribbon cutting. Prize drawings run on the Tuesday floor at 12:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., and the grand prize drawing starts at 3:00 p.m.
Registration runs $340 for an All Access Pass through September 14 and $380 after. A Monday Only pass and a Tuesday Only pass each run $255 before that date and $295 after. Technician Training runs $95.
The organiser states that cancellations before October 2, 2026 are refunded less a $100 administrative fee.
The Host Block
The organiser publishes one host property and one rate. The Westin Indianapolis at 241 West Washington Street carries a discounted group rate of $179 a night plus taxes and applicable fees.
Visit Indy lists The Westin Indianapolis at 575 sleeping rooms and 42,500 square feet of meeting space. The 600 forecast equals 104.3 percent of those rooms.
One full property night at the block rate is $102,925 across 575 rooms. A 600-room night at the same rate is $107,400.
The District
The venue footer carries the city figures: 7,100 downtown hotel rooms, 4,700 connected to the convention center by skywalk, 200 downtown restaurants within walking distance, and 15 minutes to Indianapolis International Airport.
Visit Indy's connected-hotels page puts the connected package at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms once the convention center expansion is counted, and rooms within walking distance at more than 10,000. Visit Indy also states that the ten-mile Indianapolis Cultural Trail links the convention district to six cultural districts with walking, biking and food tours and Pacers Bikeshare rentals.
The airport run is the venue's 15 minutes against Visit Indy's line that Indianapolis International has been named Best Airport in North America by Airports Council International for the last 12 years.
The Week Around the Meeting
The venue's event feed for November 2026 carries six bookings: the National Science Teaching Association convention on November 4 to 7 at 4,000, the Monumental Health and Fitness Expo on November 6 in Exhibit Hall A-B at 20,000, this conference on November 8 to 10 in Exhibit Hall A at 600, the IU Health Leadership Development Institute on November 10 in Exhibit Hall G-H at 2,200, the Percussive Arts Society International Convention on November 11 to 14 at 5,200, and the ASHA Convention on November 19 to 21 at 13,500.
The expo holds the halls beside Exhibit Hall A two days before this group arrives on a 20,000 forecast. A group organiser building a room block works against that booking at the head of the week.
The block is $179 at one Westin property, the venue counts 4,700 skywalk-connected rooms, and the district carries 200 restaurants within walking distance.
