PCMA confirms 2027 board with two Asia Pacific officers

PCMA confirms its 2027 Board of Directors and Trustees, naming Robin Preston as Chair and the first two Asia Pacific executive officers.

PCMA has confirmed its 2027 Board of Directors and Trustees. Robin Preston takes the Chair. Deborah Caldwell becomes Chair-Elect. Ong Wee Min becomes Secretary-Treasurer. The membership confirmed the slate on 27 September 2026, and two of the three officer seats go to executives with Asia Pacific portfolios.

The 2027 officer slate

PCMA names each officer with their current title.

  • Robin Preston, Vice President, Meetings and Exhibits at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, as Chair.
  • Deborah Caldwell, Senior Vice President and Asia Pacific Head of Global Events at Bank of America, as Chair-Elect.
  • Ong Wee Min, Vice President of Sales and MICE at Marina Bay Sands, as Secretary-Treasurer.

How the slate was confirmed

PCMA opened its 2027 nomination cycle in June. PCMA's approval release records that members first received the proposed slate on 28 August 2026, and the membership confirmed it on 27 September. The same release names Immediate Past Chair Kelly Ricker, chief operating officer of the Global Technology Industry Association.

The Asia Pacific first

Caldwell and Ong are the first executive officers from the Asia Pacific region in the association's history. Ong's portfolio sits with Marina Bay Sands, whose business covers meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. Caldwell's portfolio covers global events across Asia Pacific for Bank of America. The two seats place regional operators inside the officer line of an association whose members plan and host group business.

When the board takes office

The 2027 Board takes office at the close of Convening Leaders on 13 January 2027. PCMA's release names the location as Miami Beach, Florida.
