Portola Week: A Room Block, The W Package And A Second Door

The W San Francisco holds the Official Hotel Partner package and a 400-capacity Sunday event, with a 22 September block cancellation date.

A Fifth Edition, And A Week Around It

Goldenvoice held the fifth Portola Music Festival on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026 at Pier 80. The organiser publishes a 1 pm PT door for both days and an 11 pm PT curfew. The event is 21-plus. Around the two days the organiser points guests to Portola Week. Its own page describes Portola Week as events at venues across San Francisco.

The week is the unit for a group desk. Two days hold the anchor and the organiser names a set of events around them.

The Official Hotel Partner

W San Francisco at 181 3rd Street is the Official Hotel Partner of Portola Music Festival. Its Portola Festival Rooms Package page lists the stay: VIP access to Brunch, Bites and Beats presented by Ninja Tune, featuring Touching Ice, NIMINO and Chloe Caillet, hosted cocktails by NEFT Vodka, local experiences from San Franpsycho, a curated welcome gift, optional round-trip transportation to Pier 80, and 2 pm late checkout. Festival passes are not included. A credit card reserves the room. Cancellation is free before 11:59 pm local hotel time on 22 September 2026, which the page states as three days before arrival.

Three package terms answer a group's questions. The optional round trip answers a venue with no festival parking. The 2 pm checkout runs past a night that ends at 11 pm. The cancellation date puts the block's decision inside September, a month that prices above the city figure.

The Sunday Anchor Inside The Week

The hotel hosts one ticketed Portola Week event, listed as Portola Brunch and Beats at W San Francisco. It runs on Sunday 27 September 2026 from 10 am to 2:30 pm. The listing puts capacity at 400 and marks the event 21-plus. It credits the presentation to Ninja Tune x Portola x W San Francisco.

A 400-capacity room caps the group that fits that morning. The listing is the hotel's own ceiling, and the room package does not include a festival pass.

The Second Door At 401 Cesar Chavez

The festival publishes the 5th Birthday Despacio Extravaganza. It is a 21-plus event with doors at 5 pm and a party close at 11 pm. The entrance sits at 401 Cesar Chavez St, and the page states that this is not the main festival entrance. The box office at that address opens at 5 pm and runs to close. Despacio passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. The page tells a group to arrive together.

Three planning lines attach to that door. There is no designated rideshare pick-up or drop-off zone for Despacio. There are no BART shuttles for Despacio. The page routes guests by the T Third Muni Light Rail or by a drop-off at 900 Marin St.

Getting A Block To The Gate

The main festival entrance is at 900 Marin St, San Francisco, CA 94124. A free Portola shuttle runs a loop between Pier 80 and 24th St. Mission BART Station from 12:30 pm to 11:30 pm. The BART-side loading zone sits at Valencia St. and 24th St., and the venue-side zone sits at Illinois St. and 24th St. Muni's T Third line stops at Third/Marin, one block from the pier, and Muni states that the platform at Third St. and Marin St. is unavailable from 10 pm to 12 am. Route 15 exits at Third and Marin, two blocks from the venue. Route 48 runs 24/7 to 24th/Mission St BART Station. Caltrain riders use the 22nd Street Station and walk about a mile. Festival rideshare drop-off and pick-up sits at Pier 70. Lyft Bike stations sit across the area, and the published code runs from Saturday 26 September to Monday 28 September.

The Rate Month And The Room Base

Engine publishes San Francisco at $165 per night across 3.1M public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. The page defines a par rate as the cheapest public price at the time of each search. Every observation was made 10 to 180 days before check-in. September reads $192, 16 percent above the city figure. March reads $197. December reads $129, 22 percent below the figure. The page measures a 35 percent spread between the cheapest month and the priciest, ranks the city 18th of 50 major US markets and puts it 11 percent above the $148 median of that set. The Hotel Council of San Francisco states that its membership roster includes over 250 hotels.

A September block prices against a month at 16 percent above the city figure. The citywide basis is the published one.

What The Organiser Leaves Open

No attendance figure appears on any page read. No block, room rate or cut-off sits on the organiser's own pages. The partner terms above sit on the hotel's own reservation page. The festival publishes the two door clocks and the week's frame. The block and the pitch belong to the group desk.
