ScotHot returns to Glasgow on 24-25 February with Michel Roux Jr

ScotHot 2027 runs 24-25 February at the SEC Centre in Glasgow, with Michel Roux Jr presenting the Scottish Chef of the Year prizes and the STA conference from 23 February.

ScotHot returns to Glasgow on 24 and 25 February 2027, and Michel Roux Jr joins the line-up to present the prizes in the Scottish Chef of the Year competition. The Caterer reported the booking on 13 October 2026 and the opening of registration for the 2027 show.

The dates, the venue and the clock

The show runs two days at the SEC Centre, Exhibition Way, Glasgow G3 8YW. The organiser publishes opening times of 10:00 to 18:00 on Wednesday 24 February and 10:00 to 17:00 on Thursday 25 February. Both dates fall midweek.

ScotHot runs every other year, and 2027 is the 54th show, per The Caterer.

What is on the floor

The programme blocks named for ScotHot27 are the Scottish Culinary Championships, which incorporate the Scottish Chef of the Year competition, the Culinary Arts competitions, the Skills Arena and Live Theatre, Liquid Academy Live, the Buell Hospitality Advisory Pavilion, ScotHot's Innovation Awards and the Great Taste Market.

365 Events, the organiser behind ScotHot27, adds a new focus on packaging, with a highlight on design and front-of-house furnishings, alongside more than 250 exhibitors from food and drink, technology, catering equipment and manufacturing.

The scale figures and who printed them

The organiser's site carries 250-plus exhibitors and 8,000-plus attendees. The Caterer reports that the 2025 edition attracted more than 8,000 trade buyers.

Who backs the show

The Caterer lists the supporting bodies for ScotHot27 as the Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA), the Scottish Licensed Trade Association (SLTA), VisitScotland, Scottish Chefs, HIT Scotland and the Guild of Fine Food.

The organiser's sponsors and partners list is longer: Drink Think, HIT Scotland, Hotels of the Year Awards Scotland, Scottish Chefs, the SLTA, the STA, the Scottish Wholesale Association, the South of Scotland Destination Alliance, the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions (ASVA), the Great Taste Market, the Guild of Fine Food, the School Food People and VisitScotland.

The STA conference alongside the show

The STA partners the show again and offers delegates a stream of conference sessions at the STA Signature Conference, which opens Scottish Tourism Month. The organiser dates the Signature Conference Programme from 23 to 25 February, over three days of presentations, panel discussions and networking, with an exhibitor hall and a business breakfast for delegates.

The Caterer places the STA Signature Conference and the Business Leaders breakfast on 23-24 February in the adjacent Crowne Plaza hotel. A delegate booking a room for a specific session should read the STA page for that day.

What the organisers say

Toby Wand, managing director of 365 Events, framed the programme as returning favourites plus new additions. "There's no other industry gathering in Scotland that brings together such a diverse range of companies, products and buyers under one roof," he said.

"We're building a show programme that combines familiar favourites with new additions reflecting the trends and developments shaping the industry, from innovation in packaging and manufacturing to hospitality technology and front of house design," Wand said.

What Roux said

The Caterer's headline and its tag list name him Michel Roux Jr; the body copy on the same page renders the name as Michel Roux. Roux tied the competition to chef development. "Competitions like Scottish Chef of the Year are incredibly important for our industry," he said. "They give chefs the opportunity to test themselves, learn from one another and push their cooking to a higher level."

He added: "Scotland has such a strong culinary identity, built around exceptional produce and a wealth of talent, and Glasgow is a brilliant place to bring that together."

What a group booking needs to know

Two events share one week. The STA Signature Conference Programme opens on Tuesday 23 February. The show floor opens on Wednesday 24 February at 10:00 and closes on Thursday 25 February at 17:00.

A group travelling for the show alone plans against a two-day window at the SEC Centre. A group travelling for both plans against the STA programme, which opens on the Tuesday and runs a business breakfast alongside the sessions.

The organiser's pages read here carry no hotel block and no admission price. A delegate booking rooms for a specific session starts with the STA page for that day.
