The Room Set: Sagamore 1-7
ATD OrgDev 2026 runs at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225. The organiser, the Association for Talent Development, publishes a three-day programme from Tuesday 29 September to Thursday 1 October 2026. The venue publisher forecasts 1,000 attendees and prints one room assignment: Sagamore 1-7.
Sagamore 1-7 is a seven-room set. The organiser's Schedule at a Glance at orgdev.td.org/schedule/ runs eight concurrent-session blocks across the three days: three on Tuesday, three on Wednesday and two on Thursday. Eight blocks into seven named rooms is the space requirement a planner prices.
The venue page carries a date defect. Its body paragraph, meta description, og:description and JSON-LD description all read "September 30th - October 1st, 2026", a two-day window. The title block and both date spans on the same page read 29 September to 1 October. The organiser's own site publishes three days, and the venue's 12-event calendar lists OrgDev across the same three days. Three days governs.
Three Plenary Windows Against Eight Breakout Blocks
The published grid carries three plenary windows. Tuesday holds a general session from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and a second from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Wednesday holds a breakfast panel from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Thursday closes with a conference wrap-up from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m.
The rest of the programme is concurrent. Tuesday runs concurrent sessions at 10:15 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Wednesday runs them at 10:15 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday runs them at 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
The venue forecast is 1,000. Spread evenly across the seven published rooms, that is 142.9 people per room. The organiser publishes no per-room capacity and no session count.
The Agenda Publishes No Session Detail
orgdev.td.org/agenda/ states: "Bookmark this URL to check back for schedule updates." The about page adds that credit details "will be available when the full session schedule is released." No published session count, no per-room seat count and no general-session hall exist for this event. Spec from the timed grid and the room assignment.
Five programme topics are published: leadership and employee development, strategic business partner, leveraging AI and emerging technologies, talent strategy and management, and culture and people. The about page describes the format as keynote presentations, educational sessions and peer-to-peer connection. Table-based rooms fit that format.
Sizing the Room Set Against the Market
The published inventory sits on Visit Indy's connected-hotels page. It gives the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis 499 guest rooms and 35,000 square feet of meeting space. It gives The Westin Indianapolis 575 guest rooms and 42,500 square feet. The organiser's own hotel page carries the addresses: 1 S Capitol Ave for the Hyatt Regency and 241 W Washington Street for The Westin.
Together those are 77,500 square feet on 1,074 guest rooms, or 72.2 square feet of meeting space per guest room.
Nine properties on that page carry both a sleeping-room count and a meeting-square-footage figure: 4,512 rooms and 552,957 square feet, or 122.5 square feet per guest room.
Kalibri Labs with PwC, in U.S. Groups & Meetings, found that 12.1 percent of U.S. hotels carry more than 30 square feet of meeting space per guest room. The report measures 2015 to 2017 data and carries a 2018 publication date. The nine-property set sits at four times that threshold.
The Refresh Schedule: Nine Fifteen-Minute Windows
Tuesday holds four fifteen-minute windows after a plenary or a session block: 10:00 to 10:15 a.m., 11:15 to 11:30 a.m., 1:15 to 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 to 4:15 p.m. Wednesday holds four: 10:00 to 10:15 a.m., 11:15 to 11:30 a.m., 12:45 to 1:00 p.m. and 1:45 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday holds one, 11:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Three thirty-minute breaks are the only longer windows: Tuesday 2:30 to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. and Thursday 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.
The 10:00 to 10:15 a.m. window on Tuesday and Wednesday carries the most load. A plenary room clears and the concurrent rooms are set in fifteen minutes. Wednesday is the tightest day: four fifteen-minute resets, a 75-minute networking lunch, and a 45-minute Solution Sessions block from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. that is the only sponsored space the schedule names.
Nine Food and Beverage Windows
Three breakfast services run 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. on all three days. Two lunches run: a 105-minute Lunch and Learn from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday and a 75-minute networking lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday. One reception runs Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
The organiser publishes no exhibit-hall hours for this event. The space programme is meeting rooms, food and beverage and a reception.
What to Confirm in Writing
Ask the venue to confirm the Sagamore 1-7 allocation and whether the rooms subdivide, because eight concurrent blocks against seven named rooms leaves no spare. Ask the organiser for the session-level agenda and the per-room set before you commit a floor plan.
Registration is on the Standard tier. Individual attendance is $1,525 for ATD members and $1,725 for nonmembers, with a team rate from three people at $1,450 and $1,650 and a government rate at $1,475 and $1,675. The room block holds both hotels at $195 per night plus taxes and fees, available through 3 September 2026 based on availability.
