The Youth Fair sets aside five mornings in 2027 for school groups. Each runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free for students, teachers and chaperones in kindergarten through grade 8. Grade level fixes the date. Middle school cohorts split by region.
The five dates and who attends
Friday 19 March: elementary grades 3 to 5, all regions. Friday 2 April: pre-K, kindergarten, and grades 1 and 2, all regions. Wednesday 7 April: middle school grades 6 to 8, Central region. Thursday 8 April: middle school grades 6 to 8, North and South regions. Friday 9 April: exceptional students, all regions.
The field trip page does not define the Central, North and South boundaries. A middle school cohort's region has to come from the organiser before it is placed on 7 or 8 April.
Ride access changes with the date
On 19 March, 7 April and 8 April the wristband covers all midway rides except Kiddieland and Kiddieland Too. On 2 April it covers Kiddieland, Kiddieland Too and select midway rides. On 9 April it covers select rides operating at reduced speeds, with limited concessions open.
Admission is free for the four-hour window. Rides need a wristband, priced at $15 per person and on sale 27 November 2026. The field trip page's online purchase button does not yet resolve to a store. Orders route through tix@fairexpo.com.
What the four-hour window excludes
Entertainment shows are closed on field trip days. Private vehicles, backpacks and strollers are barred. Wheelchair, stroller, scooter and wagon rentals stop during field trip hours.
The rental suspension shapes the 9 April date. A cohort of exceptional students needs its own mobility equipment that morning. The page states the suspension and names no alternative on site.
Meals at Fair Expo Grille
The meal deal is one slice of cheese pizza or a hot dog, with juice. The page gives the contents, routes group pricing and orders to info@fairexpo.com, and publishes no price for the deal. Quote it as unpublished.
Howdy Tours sit on two other dates
Second and third grade classes can add a Howdy Tour, a guided agriculture walk through The Barn led by students from local agriculture programs. The 2027 tour dates are Wednesday 31 March and Thursday 1 April, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., each tour running about one hour. The tours run during fair non-operating hours, outside the five field trip dates.
Howdy Tour registration opened on 19 October. The page says spots are limited, and promises a pre-tour educational packet to the registered teacher and a souvenir for each student. It publishes no admission or wristband term for the two tour dates. Confirm the terms before quoting a per-head cost.
Putting a cohort on the calendar
Grade band decides the date first. A third grade class sits on 19 March, or on a Howdy Tour date once the terms are confirmed. A second grade class sits on 2 April, or on a Howdy Tour date on the same terms. A district moving several middle schools needs two days, because 7 and 8 April split by region.
Registration runs through the Microsoft Forms link on the field trip page. The site publishes no per-school cap and no coach parking rate. Five vehicle entrances are listed. Rideshare pickup and drop-off runs from Coral Way and SW 112th Avenue. The organiser's number is 305.223.7060.
Scale and venue
The fairgrounds sit at 10901 Coral Way in University Park near Westchester, Miami, Florida 33165. The 2027 edition is the 75th, and the organiser prints "75th Anniversary" on its 2027 pages. The organiser reports more than 500,000 guests in 2025, 80+ rides across Majorland, Kiddieland and Kiddieland Too, and more than 150 food stands.
Five dates fix the frame. The wristband sale on 27 November fixes the order deadline. The 2027 gate hours and admission price are still unpublished.
