Bahrain Will Host the International Tourism Investment Forum
Bahrain will host the International Tourism Investment Forum from 10 to 12 January 2027 in partnership with UN Tourism. The forum runs under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. The forum carries the short name ITIF.
Two Officials Signed the Hosting Agreement in Dubai
H.E. Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism of Bahrain, and H.E. Shaikha Nasser Al Nuwais, Secretary-General of UN Tourism, signed the hosting agreement at Arabian Travel Market 2026 in Dubai. Officials and representatives of the tourism sector attended the signing. Arabian Travel Market 2026 ran 14 to 17 September at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Two Signatories Set Out the Purpose
Al Sairafi said the agreement is a step in establishing Bahrain as a regional and international destination for tourism investment. She said the forum gives investors and decision-makers a global platform to find opportunities and build partnerships. She said it presents Bahrain’s investment environment, infrastructure, strategic location and tourism offer.
Al Nuwais said investment decides whether tourism grows in a way that creates jobs, builds resilience and lasts. She said UN Tourism will bring its investment expertise and global network to Manama. She thanked Bahrain for hosting the forum and said the aim is to turn tourism potential into investable projects.
The Programme Targets Ministers, Investors and Financiers
The forum convenes ministers, investors, financial institutions and private-sector leaders. The programme covers where tourism investment is heading, how projects are financed, and how to build partnerships that deliver long-term economic and social returns. The programme also presents Bahrain’s tourism projects and investment opportunities to international investors.
What the Announcement Gives a Group Desk
The announcement carries the dates, the venue city, the patronage and the two signatories. It names no host hotel, no delegate rate and no registration route. A planner tracking ITIF waits for the organising committee to publish the room block and the delegate terms.
