HOSPA Takes Over the National Hotel Marketing Conference
HOSPA has acquired the National Hotel Marketing Conference from Martin Evans of The Tourism Business. The association took over the event immediately.
The next edition runs on 27 May 2027 at Hilton at St George's Park. HOSPA and the Hotel Marketing Association will consult members and past delegates before they set the programme.
What a Group Sales Team Gains
The conference carries one fixed date and one fixed venue, and HOSPA now owns both. A group sales team can route a delegate-block enquiry to the association.
HOSPACE and the association's awards programme sit in the same portfolio. The association states that the conference keeps its established structure and adds coverage of guest behaviour and digital innovation.
The Association Behind the Event
HOSPA trades as the Hospitality Professionals Association. Its programme covers professional development courses, an events calendar, recorded webinars and masterclasses, and it works with a set of learning partners.
Jane Pendlebury, chief executive of HOSPA, said the conference fits the association's work with the Hotel Marketing Association. "It gives us another valuable platform through which we can bring marketing professionals together and strengthen the community around this important area of hospitality," she said.
The Founder's Handover
Evans founded the conference and owned it until the sale. He described hotel marketing as a discipline that has changed across two decades.
"This feels like the right moment for HOSPA to take the conference forward," he said. "Its network and industry knowledge, alongside its work with the HMA, make it very well placed to build on what we have created."
Pendlebury said Evans built the event over that period. "Martin has spent more than 20 years building the conference into a respected and well-established event, and we are very conscious of the legacy that comes with that," she said.
