The Functional Fabric Fair runs 26 to 28 October 2026 at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. The show floor opens Tuesday 27 October at 9:00 AM. The group housing route closed on 1 October, 25 days before that open.
The group route and the page behind it
The organiser's Hotel & Travel page sets a reservation deadline of 1 October 2026. One online form files a request for 10 or more rooms. The housing team then places the block at one of the named official hotels.
The Connections Housing page for this event reads "This site is now closed to reservations" on 24 October. The same page lists a contact centre on 702-329-1211, Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm PST.
Three terms sit inside the route for the groups that hold a booking. The page states that no contract is required. Connections Housing charges no advance deposit and no guest room is prepaid. Official hotels will not honour a direct reservation.
A rate assurance block states that show management sets its rates as the lowest across the fair dates. Those rates are open to attendees and exhibitors who book through the official housing company.
Who walks the floor
The fair is trade-exclusive. The organiser opens the floor free to verified designers and to product, purchasing and material managers, with registration required.
That audience books rooms for a sourcing calendar, not for a holiday. Designers and product managers work the show days. Sourcing teams that add Day 0 arrive Sunday night.
Three clocks and 24.5 floor hours
Monday 26 October carries Day 0, the OIA Catalyst Conference, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Tuesday 27 October runs 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Wednesday 28 October runs 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The three days hold 24.5 floor hours. The two show days hold 17 of them.

The venue's October calendar lists four bookings. OPMA ran 22 to 24 October in room F150-151. This fair takes 27 and 28 October in Halls B-C-D-E. ZERO to THREE takes 28 and 29 October in Hall A. CANVAS takes 30 October to 4 November in Halls A1-B-C.
Wednesday 28 October holds two of those four. The calendar lists nothing on Monday 26 October.
Food, parking and the ride in
The venue's Eat Now page reads Closed on all twelve outlets for Monday 26 October. Eight outlets read Closed for Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28.
The garage holds 800 spaces. A stay of up to 18 hours costs $15 and carries no in and out privilege. Event entry takes a dynamic rate of $15 to $25. The garage opens at 6:00 AM, bars overnight parking and takes no RV, camper or trailer.
P1 clears at 7 feet. P2 clears at 9 feet. MAX light rail stops 300 times a day near the front door and runs to Portland International Airport, eight miles out.
