MLTT Portland gives group sales six sessions and a printed ladder

Six sessions in Hall A from 20 to 22 November, a 10 and 15 percent group ladder, and $12.75 a head at the cheapest session.

Six sessions in Hall A

Major League Table Tennis brings a regular-season weekend to the Oregon Convention Center from Friday 20 November to Sunday 22 November. The venue calendar puts the league in Hall A for the three days. Six sessions carry ticket inventory, two on each day, all Pacific time.

Friday runs New York Slice against Atlanta Blazers at 4 p.m., then Los Angeles Spinners against Portland Paddlers at 7:30 p.m. Saturday runs New York Slice against Los Angeles Spinners at 4 p.m., then Atlanta Blazers against Portland Paddlers at 7:30 p.m. Sunday runs Atlanta Blazers against Los Angeles Spinners at 11 a.m., then New York Slice against Portland Paddlers at 2:30 p.m.

The Portland Paddlers play three of the six. A group that wants the home team books Friday 7:30 p.m., Saturday 7:30 p.m. and Sunday 2:30 p.m.

The ladder the league prints

Every session page and every pass page carries the same terms. Groups of 10 to 14 save 10 percent. Groups of 15 or more save 15 percent. Groups over 20 get on-court moments and player access. The contact address is groups@mltt.com.

The page describes the 10 to 14 band as automatic, so that discount lands without a code. The over-20 line is the only benefit published above the discounts, and the page gives its contents as on-court moments and player access.

The league publishes no room block, no group rate and no cut-off date for the Portland weekend. The venue calendar carries no hotel content either. Seats and rooms are two separate purchases, and a group sets both.

What a head costs by session

General admission runs $15 at Friday 4 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m., $20 at Friday 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 4 p.m., and $25 at Saturday 7:30 p.m. and Sunday 2:30 p.m. Courtside runs $30, $35 and $45 on the same three price points. VIP runs $45, $50 and $60. The kids, student and senior seat runs $10, $15 and $20.

At the 15 percent band a party of 15 pays $12.75 a head at the $15 sessions, $17 at the $20 sessions and $21.25 at the $25 sessions. A party of 12 on the 10 percent band pays $13.50, $18 and $22.50 on the same sessions. The spread between the cheapest and dearest session is $8.50 a head at 15 percent.

The pass products sit beside the singles. A Friday Pass is $30 general admission, Saturday $40, Sunday $35 and the weekend $100, against $35, $45, $40 and $120 for the same seats bought singly. Courtside passes run $55, $70, $65 and $185.

Two nights around Friday 7:30 p.m.

Doors open one hour before first serve and each session runs about two hours. Friday's 7:30 p.m. anchor has a 6:30 p.m. door. A group travelling on Friday can add the 4 p.m. session, whose door is 3 p.m.

Friday and Saturday nights carry four of the six sessions. Sunday's 11 a.m. session needs a late departure or a bag hold. The 2:30 p.m. final runs to about 4:30 p.m., past a midday checkout, so the departure either follows the final or leaves a bag at the desk.

The weekend pass is the ticket product shaped like that stay. It covers six sessions for $100 general admission, against $120 for the singles. A group over 20 that wants the pass should put the discount question to the group inbox, because neither the session pages nor the pass pages state which seat classes carry it at checkout.

Getting a group to the door

The venue garage holds 800 spaces underground, at $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privilege and a dynamic $15 to $25 at entry on event days. Overnight parking is prohibited, and the garage excludes RVs, campers and trucks with trailers. No venue page publishes a coach rate or a coach bay.

MAX light rail stops 300 times a day near the front door. The Streetcar A Loop arrives at NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes, and Bus 6 serves NE MLK. The airport is eight miles out. The venue counts 566 metered spaces within three blocks.

The parking booths take cards and touchless payment only. A reverse ATM in the MLK Lobby loads a Visa card with $1 to $500 and cannot be reloaded, which covers a group that arrives with cash.

The same two nights carry another group

The November calendar lists nine events. The Hoffman Annual Meeting and Dinner runs in Oregon Ballroom 202-203 on 20 and 21 November, the same two nights, and the ACE Awards take the Portland Ballroom on 19 November.

Thirteen hotels sit within 1,200 metres of the venue on a straight-line measure from mapped addresses. The nearest five are 225, 242, 281, 424 and 498 metres out. With no block published for this event, the release date is the group's to write into the room agreement.

The enquiry

Send party size, session, seat class and arrival date to groups@mltt.com. Ask for the band to be confirmed in writing at the count the party expects. Keep the seats and the rooms as two lines, and put the release date on the room line.
